I build stories and systems for a world where creation is cheap—
and judgment is not.
01 / About
I work where stories, systems and technology meet.
I’m a filmmaker, entrepreneur and writer based in Bombay. I studied computer science at IIT (BHU), but started building companies before I graduated.
In 2017, my brother Anupam and I founded Bombay Locale. What began as two brothers combining engineering and creative instincts became a film and storytelling company working across technology, advertising and original entertainment.
The work taught me that making something is rarely the hardest part. Choosing what deserves to survive—and shaping it into something coherent—is.
02 / Now
The critical path remains human.
I’m working on long-form generative filmmaking: how human judgment can guide machines across the thousands of decisions required to make a coherent film.
A beautiful shot is no longer rare. A story that sustains tension, character, memory and consequence still is. My interest is in the production systems behind that coherence—how creative decisions are made, revised, recorded and carried forward.
“AI has made generation cheap. It has not made judgment cheap.”
Filmmaking Is Not a Generation Problem
03 / Writing
Notes from apparently unrelated worlds.
I write about cinema, cricket, technology, ambition, memory and India. They tend to arrive at the same question: how do people decide what is good, meaningful or worth pursuing when there is no correct answer?
